Gary Buckels is a former professional baseball pitcher and coach and now a youth pitching coach teaching lessons in Huntington Beach and the Orange/Villa Park/Anaheim Hills area. Gary works with players of all ages from Little League kids just starting out to high school and college players. Locally he has worked with players from Villa Park, Anaheim Hills, North/South Sunrise Little League kids to Villa Park and Orange High School players.

Availability
- Monday through Wednesday (Villa Park/Orange/Anaheim Hills/Yorba Linda area)
- Thursday through Sunday (Huntington Beach area)
Pitching Lessons will cover:
- Proper mechanics, posture and technique
- Consistent tempo, rhythm and timing
- Increased command of pitches
- Development of new pitches
- Pick-off/Holding runners
Gary also works with players on hitting, catching and fielding (infield/outfield)
The age groups range anywhere from 8-22 years old. Levels include travel and youth baseball (Little League, Pony, USSSA etc), high school and college.

- Debuted in 1997 as a minor league pitching coach (’97-’98 Peoria Chiefs MWL) (’99-2001- New Jersey Cardinals) (2002 MWL Champions Peoria Chiefs)
- 2003 – 2007: was signed by the Florida Marlins AAA as a minor league pitching coach
- 2014 – 2017: Pitching Coach for Golden West Rustlers
- 2014- Present: High School coach and youth baseball instructor

- Pitched 2 years at Golden West Junior College
- Received a full scholarship to Cal State Fullerton and pitched for two years
- Signed in 1987 to the California Angels minor leagues
- 1988 was selected to the Midwest League All Stars and promoted to Midland Texas AA
- 1989-1992 pitched for the Edmonton Trappers AAA
- Signed in 1993 by the St. Louis Cardinals AAA Louisville, Ky
- 1994 selected to the AAA All Stars then promoted to the St. Louis Cardinals MLB team
- Major League debut was on July 23, 1994, fresh off recording the save in the AAA All-Star game as a Louisville Redbird
- 1995: Won the American Association AAA Championship
- 1995: Pitched AAA for the Toledo Mudhens
