ArtSteps has added a selection of online classes for ages 8 and up including online cartooning, anime, portraiture, and monster clay creations.

For 2020, all Bricks 4 Kidz camps have changed to virtual programs.
Bricks 4 Kidz camps keep the pace fast and the action going with LEGO® Bricks, games and more to ensure kids will have plenty of LEGO® fun. The camp offers a STEM-enriched experience in a safe and structured environment. Using specialized LEGO® Technic pieces such as gears, axles, and electric motors, children work in pairs to construct a variety of Bricks 4 Kidz models, as well as build creations of their own during free-play periods.

California Junior Lifeguards offers The Back Bay Summer Camp program, a one week long day camp 9-3pm for children ages 6-12. Its central location, near Jamboree Road and Pacific Coast Highway in Newport Beach, is convenient to all of Orange County. This camp offers a safe aquatic environment with instructors well skilled in the training of participants of all ages. This camp offers a combination of aquatic and dry land activities and is designed to help build physical endurance and coordination, as well as improve the participants overall confidence. There is an additional Junior Guards camp at Salt Creek Beach.

Each camp offers gymnastics events, crafts, games, and activities that coincide with the weekly theme. On Friday’s they have an indoor slip n’ slide so don’t forget a bathing suit.

Camps for 2020 have been reduced to five sessions and will be structured according to CDC guidelines.
Camp James is a traditional day camp offered in a natural, outdoor environment. This camp is for ages 4-13 and offers a variety of traditional or theme camp weeks. Camp James strives to expose children to a variety of activities and provide opportunities for campers to increase skill development. All activities take place on campgrounds in the Newport Dunes. Groups are co-ed and according to age. Online registration allows you to select the same group as friends and family.

Kids travel beyond the classroom to explore during week-long, immersive, hands-on day camps. little scientists ages 5-12 will find themselves engaged in experiments, science challenges and outdoor activities that make them laugh, think and discover new concepts. This year’s camps are being held at the Santa Ana Zoo, Discovery Cube, and San Joaquin Marsh.

2020 Programs include Camp-at-Home for preschool – 5th grade and Virtual Summer School for grades K – 8. There will be no on-site programming.
Fairmont offers summer camps, summer school, enrichment workshops and summer classes for children preschool to high school. They offer programs at all 4 local campuses (Anaheim Hills, Historic Anaheim, North Tustin and Preparatory Academy). Registration opens February 15. Fashion Camps include sewing camps, sketching and fashionable fundays. These camps strive for skill building, creativity, confidence, responsibility, pride and thought-provoking work. Register before April 30th and save $20 on camps.

All idTech camps have transitioned to online programming for 2020. There will be no on-site instruction.
Learn AI. Build a laptop. Code video games. iD Tech teaches the in-demand skills you just can’t get in school. Camp Specialists will provide personalized recommendations based on your child’s interests.

Where: Multiple Sites (OC Great Park, Huntington Beach- Edison High School, JSerra High School, San Juan Hills High School, Costa Mesa – Lindbergh Park, Ladera Ranch, and Fullerton)
When: June through early August (multiple camps)
Each day will include football fundamental drills covering different positions, followed by flag football games where players can put those new skills to use. Players will receive instruction from experienced, professional coaches, with age appropriate drills in an approximate 10-1 player to coach ratio. Registration opens February 1st. There is also a 4-game summer developmental league for beginning and intermediate players in July that meets at the OC Great Park.
Camp Haverim and Camp Yeladim will be open for the 2020 summer season with modifications to meet CDC recommendations.

JCamps @ the Merage JCC (1 Federation Way in Irvine) offer Jewish experiences and friendships with a wide variety of options for children age 2-18. Yeladim is for children age 2-4 and Camp Haverim is offered for students TK-11. Camps offer sports, art, outdoor adventure and aquatics as well as building friendship, independence and self esteem.

Sign up for one of Microsoft’s free virtual summer camp programs for kids as young as six years old. Choose from a variety of themes including STEM and coding missions, game on!, digital tools to explore your creative side, bettering the community, a week at the museum and around the world in five days.

The Nike Basketball Camp includes strength and conditioning workouts, creative drills and real-game situational play to make this one of California’s best day camps.

The Nike Soccer Camp is a week of intensive soccer training combining training methods from the U.S. and Europe to form a full daily schedule, applying challenging drills and new training techniques.

Summer Day Camp for 5-12 year old and runs in week long sessions from 9-1pm. This is the perfect camp for children that love to explore the outdoors and discover nature. At this camp your child will do crafts, play games, take nature walks and learn Native American songs.
There is also a Wilderness Survival camp for 12-14 year olds. Learn teamwork and wilderness skills such as outdoor cooking, first aid, orienteering and archery.

Youth Day Camps: Kids entering the 1st-6th grade can take part in 9 weeks of summer day camp. Day camps include weekly themed-activities such as sing-alongs, fun sports, group games, creative crafts, site events, optional excursions, and much more.
Teens for Team Orange: T4TO is designed to provide our future leaders with opportunities to build self confidence, enhance leadership skills, explore exciting career paths, and make a difference in the community, all while earning required school service hours.

Hawks Softball Camps are designed to help each participant learn the fundamentals, improve their skills, gain a better understanding of the game, and reach their full potential in a positive, safe and relaxed learning environment. This summer camp is for ages 4-13 and runs in week long sessions all summer. It’s also, conveniently located in Villa Park at Cerro Villa Middle school and offers general, specialty and combination camps as well as extended care. Camp themes include Fashion Design, Junior Chefs, Art, Soccer and baseball just to name a few.

Segerstrom Center’s Summer Dance is being offered through the Center for Dance and Innovation. Class camp options include dance, ballet, school of dance and music for children with disabilities. There are a variety of packages to choose from.
Vacation Bible School
2020 VBS Programs and participation may vary by location.
VBS is a specialized form of religious education which focuses on children ages 5-13. Churches usually hold the week-long events during the summer, though the lengths of such programs may vary, and they are sometimes held during other times of the year. Here is a short list of the many churches that hold VBS in the Villa Park area: Salem Lutheran, St. John’s Lutheran, San Antonio Church, St. Norbet’s, St. Paul’s, Hephatha, Calvary Christian School, The Rock Community Church.
