The Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum will be hosting several festive events this holiday season including a Christmas tree dedication, Menorah lighting plus a fun holiday evening event.
The Nixon Foundation will host its annual Hometown Heroes Christmas Tree Dedication, a Menorah Lighting plus an activities filled night including photos with Santa and feeding the reindeer.

Christmas Tree Lighting at the Nixon Library

Walk into a Christmas wonderland as guests explore the Nixon Library after hours. Doors open at 5:30 PM with a Christmas tree lighting ceremony at 6:00 PM. The celebration includes a Christmas tree lighting ceremony, photos with Santa Claus, presidential museum galleries after dark, create your own personalized ornament, build your own Hot Cocoa Creation, learn about the Nixon family’s Christmas traditions, sing along with the Dickens Carolers and take home a Frosty the Snowman ornament craft kit.

More than 40 Gold Star families will be given personally inscribed ornaments honoring their family members who lost their lives in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Vietnam.
Gingerbread Spice and Everything Nice: A Candlelight Evening

Experience the Nixon Library in a whole new (candle) light with this special evening candlelight tour and holiday celebration.
In 1969, First Lady Pat Nixon introduced evening tours of the White House so that working families could experience the Christmas decorations. To continue her tradition,, the Nixon Library will light up after dark with an indoor and outdoor experience featuring festive lights, Christmas music, Santa Claus, reindeer, and gingerbread!
The Celebration includes:
- Christmas tree lighting ceremony
- Take professional photos with Santa Claus in the Argyros Oval Office
- Feed Santa’s reindeer before they take off on their big night
- Explore the presidential museum galleries after dark
