
Orange Treats in the Streets returns to Old Towne Orange Plaza on Thursday, October 29, 2026. The free family Halloween event brings local businesses, community organizations and families together for an afternoon of costumes, candy, giveaways and seasonal activities in the Orange Circle.
For several decades, the City of Orange produced Treats in the Streets. Following changes to City-sponsored events, Orange International Street Fair, Inc. assumed production under a multi-year agreement with the City. In 2026, Orange Plaza Traditions, Inc. (OPT) assumed production and financial responsibility for Treats in the Streets, the Orange International Street Fair and the Christmas Market & Tree Lighting.

What to Expect at Treats in the Streets
Treats in the Streets is a family-focused Halloween celebration centered around the historic Orange Plaza. Participating businesses, organizations and community groups provide candy and promotional giveaways. Families are encouraged to come in costume and enjoy the Halloween atmosphere throughout Old Towne Orange. Additional activities and the detailed 2026 program may be announced by the organizer as the event approaches.
Parking & Street Closures
Expect significant traffic and parking changes around the Orange Circle on October 29. For the 2026 event, the City has approved a full Plaza closure from 1:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Chapman Avenue will be closed from Lemon Street east to Grand Street, and Glassell Street will be closed from Almond Avenue north to Maple Avenue. Permit parking restrictions around the Old Towne area are scheduled to be temporarily suspended for the day. Arrive early and allow additional time to park and walk to the Plaza.
