Halloween Fest will be held in the Town Center on Saturday, October 26th, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. This date is not a typo! The traditional day before Halloween event moved to a Saturday last year to better accommodate Villa Park families and will be the same this year.Halloween Fest is a Villa Park annual tradition that was started in 2002 and is now in it’s 18th year. Every year you can find kids of all ages in their favorite costumes partaking in the many contests and activities that are laid out for them. It’s a fun family event for all!
Contests at Villa Park Halloween Fest:
Coloring Contest: The coloring contest is open to all children aged 12 or younger. This year kids will be coloring at Halloween Fest. This is a change from previous years where children filled out the coloring pages at home and submitted them for entry prior to the event.
Kids & Dogs Costume Contest: The costume contest is open to all children aged 12 or younger. To enter, simply come to the Villa Park Halloween Fest in costume before 5:30 p.m. and sign up. No entries will be accepted after 5:30 p.m. If you come after 5:30 p.m. your child may be in the parade but will not be judged. Children will be judged in groups by age. Please plan to accompany very young children through the parade and contest. No weapons please. Winners will be announced at the end of the evening.
Pumpkin carving/Decorating Contest: The pumpkin carving contest is open to all children aged 12 or younger. To enter, decorate a pumpkin of your choice using any method or combination of methods, such as painting, decorating, carving, etc. Turn in your pumpkin along with an entry form (located at pumpkin drop-off) at Villa Park City Hall on October 30th from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Judging will take place during the Halloween Fest and the winners announced during the festivities. Please include your phone number so we may contact you if you are not present.
