Rockwell’s Café & Bakery has been a fixture in the Villa Park Town Center for years, with a neighborhood restaurant and bakery, The Post at Rockwell’s bar and entertainment venue, and even a hidden upstairs speakeasy.
Rockwell’s, at 17853 Santiago Boulevard, is in the heart of Villa Park and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. It also offers custom cakes and baked goods, cocktails, live entertainment and private-event spaces.
Rockwell’s Café & Bakery
Rockwell’s started as a bakery in 1987, famous for its cakes and desserts. Over the years it expanded to a full service café and restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The Villa Park location is especially popular for breakfast and brunch, with omelets, waffles, French toast, breakfast burritos, eggs Benedict, biscuits and gravy, and chicken and waffles on the menu.
There are even some nods to the surrounding community on the menu, like the Villa Park breakfast burrito and Spartan omelet.
Lunch and dinner offer more variety with burgers, sandwiches, salads, entrees and American comfort food staples.
Rockwell’s Bakery and Custom Cakes
The Post at Rockwell is the bar and entertainment side of the Villa Park location.
The Post offers cocktails and wine and beer, along with food from Rockwell’s kitchen. It also offers something rather unusual within Villa Park itself: a local spot for happy hour and live entertainment.
Rockwell’s has a weekday happy hour and entertainment and specials all week. Live music and other entertainment are on a regular schedule for selected evenings and weekends.

The Post: Live Music and Entertainment in Villa Park
The Post also has become one of the few places for regular nightlife and live entertainment in Villa Park.
Rockwell presents live music and entertainment throughout the week, with performances on select Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights. The Post also has food, drink and patio specials going on.
That gives residents a dinner, drinks and entertainment option without having to leave Villa Park for Old Towne Orange, Anaheim or other nearby nightlife areas.
46, a Speakeasy Above the Post
One of Rockwell’s most surprising features is hidden above The Post.
Upstairs there is a Speakeasy called 46, which is modeled around the experience of a traditional hidden speakeasy. Guests are given a password, find the door marked “46” and knock to get in.
Below ground, the larger restaurant and bar is balanced with a more intimate cocktail and food setting.
The concept of a secret entrance and password makes 46 one of the more unique venues for a nite out in Villa Park , and a characteristic of Rockwell’s that even some longtime residents may not know about.
The upstairs speakeasy is also one of Rockwell’s most unique private event spaces.
The Speakeasy Above the Post has a private entrance, private bar and private bathroom for your private gathering, providing a more exclusive experience than throwing a party in the main restaurant.
Parties and Larger Private Events
Rockwell’s also offers other private and semi-private spaces for bigger parties, in addition to its upstairs speakeasy.
Rockwell’s says it can accommodate groups of about 20 to 150 guests with its event options, depending on the room and format of the event.
Rockwell’s combines restaurant service, full bar, bakery and custom cakes to offer several pieces of an event in one location, including food, drinks, desserts and event space.
