City of Orange Mayoral Candidate Statements

City of Orange Mayoral Candidate statements for the 2024 elections (listed in the order of the Orange County Registrar of Voters website). Mayor Dan Slater is running unchallenged for the Mayor of Orange. The General Election will be held in the City of Orange on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

Two years ago, I pledged to protect Orange taxpayers and bring common sense to City Hall:

Today, Orange is a cleaner, more efficiently run city with lower crime and fewer homeless. Illegal street vendors have been eliminated and traffic flow improved.

Our “Central Park,” Santiago Creek, is getting long overdue attention and I am working to ensure unwanted development will not occur there.

A variety of exciting new housing is being built or will soon be under construction – both for seniors and families.

I have finally put a spotlight on our financial problems and am working to make Orange fiscally sound. We’re tightening our belts while exploring new revenue streams. I will continue to be a fiscal hawk with our taxpayer dollars.

New businesses are being recruited, thereby increasing our revenues.

Our council has been working as a team and I’m proud to be supported by all six City Councilmembers. My leadership has earned endorsements from former Mayor Carolyn Cavecche, bipartisan support from Congressmembers Young Kim and Lou Correa, and our Orange City Firefighters.

I was raised in Orange, graduated from OLu and am a taxpayer and homeowner here.

I would be honored to continue serving you as Mayor.
