Villa Park will be rehabilitating 19 streets beginning on Monday, December 13, 2018 with an estimated completion at the end of January, 2019. Each year the City completes a cycle of street rehabilitation projects in order to maintain the life of the City’s asphalt streets. Locations and asphalt treatment methods are identified by the City Engineer using data from the City’s Pavement Management System, coordination with other underground projects, as well as field observation and reports from residents throughout the year.
The FY 17/18 project will rehabilitate nineteen (19) streets sections. The proposed improvement includes,
- Remove and replace deteriorated pavement sections.
- Crack seal as needed.
- Edge or full grinding of the street pavement.
- Overlay the full pavement section with a minimum 2 inches of rubberized asphalt.
