Martin “Jay” Hopping, who is now retired, started the business in 1976 and now his son, Jay “JT” Hopping, runs the business, making sure that the legacy lives on with modern precision and the same old-fashioned honesty.
Deeply rooted in Orange County’s plumbing history
Jay started Liquid Plumbing in the city of San Clemente in 1976. He started out small, working out of his home, and focused on simple repairs on the older homes near the coast and further inland on the new homes being built. He established a reputation for doing great work at fair prices.
In the early 1990s, when tankless water heaters first came out, Liquid Plumbing moved to Costa Mesa and quickly became a leader in this new technology. Most plumbers in the area were still only using traditional tanks, but Liquid Plumbing was one of the first companies in Orange County to learn how to install tankless systems.
By the middle of the 2000s, the company had moved to Anaheim, which is off the 22 Freeway near Ball Road and State College Boulevard. This central Orange County location made it easy for them to serve the area’s diversity, from Anaheim Hills to Newport and the hidden jewel in Villa Park.
