Shaffer Park includes a concession building, baseball/softball field, passive activity areas, an outdoor exercise area, sport & park lighting, a trash enclosure, site furnishings, monumental signage and flag pole, ADA access to the Tot Lot, parking area, and street lighting. Additionally, there is hardscaping, site utilities, general landscaping and irrigation.

Shaffer Park was built in 1964 and then renovated and re-opened on April 13, 2019 with a grand ribbon cutting and community celebration. Nearly all of the park’s old infrastructure was replaced and upgraded.

Playground
The play structures are shaded with wood chips on the ground. Within and around the play structures are spring riders, monkey bars, a balance beam and much more. There are separate areas for younger and older children, lots of shade in the playground and the big field adjacent. Parents, kids and fitness enthusiast love the the shade sails over the playground and workout equipment.

Walking Path
A walking path meanders around the park, adorned with water wise landscaping. There are two walking path loops. The first one is .27 miles and the second one is .40 miles.
Exercise Equipment
A shaded, outdoor exercise circuit, complete with gym equipment that you don’t need a membership to use. The outdoor exercise equipment is a mixture of weight resistance and cardio machines made by Greenfields Outdoor Fitness. Perfect for full body circuit training.
Community Center
The old community building was demolished and rebuilt with a brand new community building with a kitchen. restrooms and adjacent patios, which is now available for rental for birthday parties and much more.

Baseball/Softball Field
There is one lighted field with dugouts, backstops, high fences, non-shaded bleachers, all dirt infield and no fences. Organized use may require a permit.
